Atherton holds accreditation with the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC), an independent accrediting commission, composed of providers, consumers, and experts from the continuing care industry.  The CCAC is sponsored by the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, a membership organization that includes over 5,000 nonprofit nursing homes, independent housing facilities, community service agencies, and continuing care retirement communities such as Atherton.
